Alexandria-Monroe High School Class of 2023 Senior Awards
Last week, the Alexandria Community School Corporation honored several graduating seniors at the annual Awards Ceremony. Highlights of the evening included, 70 of 114 graduating seniors were invited to receive awards; almost half of the awards were scholarships that are renewable each year; 40 Honors Diplomas were awarded, 32 industry recognized certifications were included; and there were three military enlistments recognized.

The Alexandria Art Circle held its last meeting of the 2022-2023 season on Tuesday May 16, 2023, at the home of Missy Donahue. The group discussed the events of the season centering on this year’s theme “The Circle Continues.” Members also reviewed and voted on proposed changes to the bylaws and began planning for the 2023-2024 season.

As the Memorial Day weekend approaches, the museum recalls the sacrifices of our veterans. The local I.O.O.F. (International Organization of Odd Fellows) cemetery has been a big part of commemorating the memory of loved ones and more recently highlighting local veterans.
