CROSSVILLE, TN Diane E. (McKinley) Bir, 70, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee following a brief illness.

Diane was born on March 9, 1953, in Monon, Indiana to Gene and Alene (Clergett) McKinley. She was a graduate of North White High School in Monon-Class of 1972. She was a previous member of Beta Sigma Phi.

She was a current member of Laureate Alpha Kappa chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors: Husband-Robert “Bob” Bir-married November 25, 1973, 2 Sons-Jeffrey Bir and Alex Bir both of Anderson, Parents-Gene and Alene McKinley- Monticello, 5 sisters-Laura Henneman-Quad Cities, Iowa, Carol Greene-Tallahassee, Florida, Sharon McKinley-Monticello, Jane Overton-Monon, Cathy Klopfenstein-Monticello, Brother-Max McKinley-Lafayette, Several nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws

She was preceded in death by her sons-John and Robert II, a brother-Jeffrey McKinley

Services were May 19. 2023, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
