For over twenty years, the Daughters of Mary of St. Mary, Alexandria, have recognized volunteers who have shared their time and talents with a caring and loving heart—they share their gifts not only with our parish but also with our community. These humble recipients have servant-leader hearts and offer their talents unselfishly and eagerly- often quietly behind the scenes- as an example of Christ’s merciful love.

Easter Bonnets Through the Years

How many of us recall getting decked out from head to toe each Easter with new shoes, clothes, gloves, and Easter bonnets? These outfits represented the sentiments of renewal, rebirth, and refreshment that come with spring each year. Easter hats and bonnets may have gone the way of the past in many parts of our country; however, in many cultures and communities, they are still very much treasured.

Honor Flight Northeast Indiana celebrates historic 50th Flight

Phil’s One Stop is the full-flight sponsor for this notable event. They have raised over $500,000 on behalf of Honor Flight and this will be their 4th full flight sponsorship. The Alexandria Elks 478 has served as a community partner since it was established in 1906. Moving to its current location on S. Park Avenue (St. Rd. 9) in the 1970’s.
