Gas line rupture due to boaring fiber line accident

At 2:13 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, the Alexandria Fire Department was called to a gas main break on W. Washington Street which led to the evacuation of residence in the 500, 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Washington, Adams, and Jefferson Streets as well as the side streets in the area.
