The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) hosted a town hall meeting last week to alleviate concerns regarding the quality of water in Alexandria after inquiries were submitted to its office in late July.
Saturday night, Alexandria police officers were dispatched to the GetGo at the intersection of State Road 9 and State Road 28 in Alexandria to investigate a fight in progress. Dispatch notified officers there was an active physical fight next to the air pumps on the property.

Tuesday morning, former Summitville Volunteer Fire Department Chief, James Randall “Randy” Sizelove appeared in Madison County Circuit Court I for a sentencing and restitution hearing stemming from charges of Theft (Level 6 felony), Official Misconduct (Level 6 felony), and Conflict of Interest (Level 6 felony). Sizelove appeared for the hearing via Zoom technology from the New Castle Department of Corrections where he is currently serving an 18-year sentence on previous child sexual misconduct charges.
