Alexandria couple charged with neglect of dependent causing serious bodily injuries

The Alexandria Police Department arrested Katlyn Conrad along with her boyfriend, Maverick Peterson last week after Conrad’s two-year-old son was transported to Community Hospital and later life lined to Riley Children’s Hospital with severe, life-threatening head injuries.Alexandria Police officers were called to assist Medics in the 100 block of South West Street shortly before 7 p.m.

Sowinski named AMPL Interim Director

Following the resignation of Alexandria-Monroe Public Library Director, Sarah Wallace, last fall, the AMPL Board of Directors named General Manager, Brad Sowinski as Interim Director with plans to move him into the role as Director following his completion of his LC4 certification.Sowinski began his career at AMPL in March of 2016 as a Youth Service Assistant.
