Metronet Expands Ultrafast Fiber-Optic Network to Alexandria

Metronet, recognized by PCMag as America’s fastest internet provider for two consecutive years, announced today a fully funded multimillion-dollar investment in 100% fiber-optic infrastructure to bring ultrafast internet to Alexandria. Metronet’s network will connect thousands of households and businesses to multigigabit service, offering speeds of up to five gigabits per second for residents and ten gigabits per second for businesses.

Jacklynn Hosier breaks Alexandria scoring record, hits 2,000 Career Points

History was made on the hardwood last Thursday evening as Alexandria senior Jacklynn Hosier cemented her place among the greats, scoring her 2,000th career point and breaking the all-time Alexandria Lady Tigers scoring record. The milestone surpasses the legendary mark previously set by 2005 Indiana Miss Basketball Jodi Howell.

Alexandria Lady Tigers clinch outright CIC Title on Senior Night

Jacklynn Hosier, Lily Harpe, Kylan McFall, Rylie Kellams, Abby Gaines, and Olivia Jones are names that will not soon be forgotten in Alexandria Girls’ basketball history. The Alexandria Lady Tigers and aforementioned seniors capped off a historic regular season with a decisive 68-16 victory over Madison-Grant on January 30, securing their first outright Central Indiana Conference (CIC) championship since 2003. The Lady Tigers finished the regular season with an impressive 22-1 record and 7-0 in the CIC, cementing themselves as one of the top teams in the state.
