ACC offer fall sports; begin unique fundraising venture

The Alexandria Community Center is offering three sports this fall: cheer, football, and soccer. Soccer is open to kids in grades Pre-K to sixth grade, football and cheerleading are open for kids between grades second through sixth. Football will begin this week, and soccer will start next week. Cheer practices are still to be determined. All sports conclude before Alexandria’s fall break, on or before Oct. 4.

Alexandria Tigers Girls’ Golf Season Preview: New Faces, Same High Expectations

As the Alexandria Tigers Girls’ Golf Team tees off for the 2025 season, the program enters a new chapter under the steady leadership of longtime coach Bruce Johnson, now entering his 11th year at the helm. Following an impressive 2024 campaign that saw the Lady Tigers crowned CIC Conference Champions and finish with an 11-4 record, expectations remain high—though the team will need to navigate some key departures and new dynamics.

Junior High Football begins Fall Season

The first official practice for the Alexandria Junior High Football team will be held on Wednesday, August 6 after school and will run until 5:30 p.m. The Tigers will be led this season by a dedicated coaching staff, including Scott Rowland, Eric Davidson, and John Segner. Alexandria 12U wins District Championship, heads to Frankton as #1 Seed

The Alexandria 12U baseball team completed a dominant run through the District IV Town & Country Tournament, capturing the District Championship with a 9–3 victory over Madison-Grant in Sunday evening’s title game at LaFontaine. With the win, Alexandria advances to the Frankton Semi-State as the #1 seed, a well-earned reward after an undefeated tournament performance.
